Last year, I woke up to a shocking reality—my hands felt alien to me. Simple tasks became monumental challenges as everything I tried to hold slipped through my fingers like grains of sand. Doorknobs transformed into impenetrable locks, and frustration mounted as I faced the limitations of my own body. Despite the absence of pain, medical tests revealed the shocking truth: my tendons were riddled with tiny holes, and several ligaments were compromised.
In the midst of this struggle, I discovered an unexpected ally in my rehabilitation journey: a video game. Engaging with this game not only provided a distraction from my challenges but also encouraged me to use my hands in ways I hadn’t thought possible. The mechanics required precision and coordination, which gradually helped me regain strength and dexterity. Through this unique combination of therapy and play, I found hope and a path toward recovery that I never anticipated.
