Ten Game Boy Advance Classics That Still Need to Hit Switch Online

Nintendo has steadily built out its Game Boy Advance library on Switch Online, giving subscribers access to a solid lineup of handheld favorites. Titles like Metroid Fusion, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, and Mario Kart: Super Circuit have already made the jump, and they play well on modern hardware. Even so, the current selection only scratches the surface of what the GBA offered during its run.

Several heavy hitters remain absent. Golden Sun and its sequel stand out as two of the most requested RPGs, and their absence is hard to ignore given how well they hold up. The same goes for Fire Emblem, the game that finally brought the tactical series to Western audiences. Mother 3 never received an official release outside Japan, and Switch Online would be the perfect place to fix that long standing gap. Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, Advance Wars, and Pokemon Emerald also come up constantly in fan discussions.

The GBA had a deep catalog that mixed original titles with enhanced ports of Super Nintendo games. Right now, the service represents only a fraction of that history. Adding more of these games would give longtime fans a reason to revisit the platform and introduce newcomers to titles they may have missed. Until then, the library feels incomplete.
