Dark Fantasy RPG Blends Soulslike Combat with Extraction Gameplay

Dark Fantasy RPG Blends Soulslike Combat with Extraction Gameplay

A new cooperative dark fantasy RPG is set to merge the punishing combat of Soulslike games with the high-stakes tension of extraction shooters. The upcoming title promises an experience that channels the epic scale of Elden Ring while borrowing the risk-reward loop seen in games like Arc Raiders.

Players will enter a grim, sprawling world where co-op progression is central to survival. The game combines traditional RPG mechanics with PvPvE encounters, meaning you will face not only brutal monsters and environmental hazards but also other player groups competing for the same loot and resources. Extraction gameplay adds a layer of tension: every expedition into the dangerous world carries the threat of losing everything if you fail to escape.

The developers describe a system where cooperation is key. You can team up with friends to tackle massive bosses, explore hidden dungeons, and gather rare materials to upgrade your character. But the presence of rival squads means trust is never guaranteed. Ambushes, betrayals, and desperate last stands are all part of the design.

Combat is described as deliberate and weighty, with a focus on timing, stamina management, and positioning. The dark fantasy setting features crumbling castles, haunted forests, and underground catacombs filled with ancient horrors. The visual style leans into grim, atmospheric environments reminiscent of FromSoftware's work.

The game is still in development, with no official release date announced. However, early previews suggest it could attract fans of both hardcore RPGs and extraction-based multiplayer games. It aims to offer a fresh take on the genre by blending methodical exploration with unpredictable player-driven conflict.
