More than 100 WSU students recently came together to test their creativity and coding skills during the third annual Crimson Game Jam, an event where participants design and build video games. Over the course of 48 hours, teams collaborated intensively to develop a total of 40 unique games, each reflecting the diverse talents and innovative ideas of the student body.
The event provided a vibrant atmosphere where budding game developers could network, share ideas, and learn from one another. Participants were encouraged to push their limits, often working late into the night to refine their projects. The themes for the games varied widely, showcasing everything from whimsical adventures to thought-provoking narratives.
Judges evaluated the games based on creativity, gameplay mechanics, and overall presentation, with awards given to standout projects. The Crimson Game Jam not only fostered a sense of community among participants but also served as a platform to inspire the next generation of game designers and developers.
