The wait is almost over for players hungry for raw, close-quarters violence. Acts of Blood, the beat-'em-up inspired by the relentless action of The Raid, now has a confirmed release date. It launches on December 5 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.
Set in a rain-soaked Southeast Asian city, the game puts you in the shoes of a former enforcer dragged back into a criminal underworld he thought he had escaped. The story unfolds across a single night, with you fighting your way up a skyscraper packed with gang members, corrupt officials, and a few surprises waiting on the top floor.
Combat leans into hand-to-hand brutality. You chain punches, elbows, and knees into fluid combos, then finish enemies with environmental kills that range from stairwell slams to improvised weapons. A stamina system forces you to pick your moments instead of mashing buttons, and the parry window rewards players who study enemy patterns.
The developers have promised no microtransactions and no live service elements. Everything unlocks through play. A free demo hits storefronts on November 21, giving skeptics a chance to test the combat before committing.
If the final build matches the trailers, Acts of Blood could be the sleeper hit of the holiday season.
