PlayStation Plus October Catalog Update Brings Back the Horizon Series and Includes a 2025 Action-Adventure Game

October 15, 2026 - 01:13

PlayStation Plus subscribers are gaining access to an exciting batch of titles in the October Game Catalog update. The headlining addition is the return of the Horizon series, with both Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West joining the service. This gives players a chance to experience Aloy's full journey, from her origins as an outcast Nora hunter to her battles against massive machines in the Forbidden West. The games remain some of the most visually striking open world adventures on the platform.

Alongside the Horizon titles, the catalog includes a 2025 action adventure game that has drawn attention for its fast paced combat and exploration. The game mixes melee fighting with environmental puzzles, offering a different flavor from the sprawling role playing systems of the Horizon series. It is a shorter, more focused experience that should appeal to players looking for something they can finish in a weekend or two.

The update also brings several other titles across different genres, including racing, strategy, and indie releases. Subscribers on the Extra and Premium tiers will be able to download the full lineup starting on the usual mid month date. As always, games added to the catalog can leave later, so it is worth checking the full list and prioritizing anything that catches your eye. For now, the return of Horizon and the arrival of a fresh 2025 adventure give subscribers plenty to play through the fall.
