A new multiplayer game has arrived on Steam that blends the punishing climb of Getting Over It with the unmistakable look of a classic brick phone. Flipping Is Hard challenges up to 16 players to scale a towering world built from discarded technology, and the only tool available is an indestructible handset that refuses to break no matter how many times it slams into a wall.
The premise sounds simple. Players control the phone, flipping and launching it upward through a vertical obstacle course made of old keyboards, monitors, and other forgotten gadgets. Progress is slow by design. One bad flip can send a player tumbling back to the bottom, turning a hard earned climb into a sudden loss. That loop of failure and retry sits at the heart of the experience, echoing the same mix of rage and determination that made similar climbing games so popular.
What sets this one apart is the multiplayer angle. With support for up to 16 people, the climb becomes a chaotic race where players jostle for position, knock each other off ledges, and celebrate small victories together. The retro phone aesthetic adds a layer of humor to the frustration, turning a stubborn piece of old hardware into an unlikely hero.
Flipping Is Hard is available now on Steam.
