If you have ever wanted to tear down a wall with a friend on one side and then rebuild it into a fortress on the other, "Salvation Denied" might be your next obsession. This upcoming co-op game puts physics-based destruction and construction front and center, letting you and your friends decide whether to level everything in sight or stack blocks into towering, unstable monuments.
In a recent hands-on session, the core loop felt immediately satisfying. You can grab objects, swing a hammer, or use tools to break apart structures piece by piece. The physics engine reacts in real time, so a poorly placed support beam can send an entire roof crashing down. On the flip side, building is just as chaotic. Stacking heavy blocks on a wobbly foundation requires coordination, or at least a willingness to laugh when your friend accidentally knocks over your work.
The game does not force a strict objective. Some moments are about pure destruction, while others ask you to solve simple puzzles by constructing bridges or ramps. The co-op element is essential. Trying to build alone feels slow, but with a team, the pace picks up and the accidents multiply.
"Salvation Denied" is set to release later this year. If you enjoy games where messing around with friends is the main point, this one is worth watching.
